I'm not flexible - can I attend Yoga classes?

Meriel's regular weekly classes are open to all - no matter what your ability.

What to wear/bring?

Comfy clothes, your mat (f you have one), a shawl/blanket. No phones/gadgets please. If you bring water make sure it's in a easy to close bottled to electric underfloor heating. Slip-off shoes are handy.

Does the studio have heating?

Yes, there is a wood-burners and under-floor heating.

Do you use incense?

Not immediately before or ever during practice. We ask guests to refrain from wearing perfumes and scents when visiting due to allergies and reactions. We may occasionally burn smudge-sticks (dried sage) or cedar wood to purify the air but never during practice.

Is there any UV lighting at Felinganol?

No. Solar lighting.

Is there access for those using mobility aids?

Wheelchair access into the studio is limited at present - there's are 4 steps up. Depending on your mobility we may be able to assist entrance - please call us to discuss ir feel free to make a site visit. The path from carpark to studio is about 60 yards over a lawn. The toilets are not suitable for a wheelchair at present. This is an inadequate situation for which we apologise. As a un-funded self-built venue we ai to improve facilities every year.

How do you get there?

From the South. On M4 pass Swansea onto A40. When approaching Camarthan follow all red H signs for Hospital to guide you easily through by-pass round-abouts. Just past Camarthan Hospital on your left turn right at mini roundabout onto towards Cardigan. After 40-50mins take the 3rd exit at the Cardigan round-about onto A487 towards Penparc and Aberystwyth, drive through the traffic lights with Tesco on your left and a short while after take 1st left on to CAEMORGAN RD, this road twists and turns for 1 mile until you see FELINGANOL sign on the left at the top of our track, come down, park and walk towards the Lodge for your welcome. (We don't come up on SATNAV which may direct you to St Clears - it's better to follow the above directions!)

From the North take the A487 from Aberystwyth towards Cardigan, pass through Penyparc and turn right onto CAEMORGAN RD and follow the directions above. (There is a right before that which is the recycling centre - don't take that one!)

Are the cabins heated?

Yes, each cabin have heaters and lamps. There are electric points in all cabin for simple things like charging phone but not appropriate for hairdryers and kettles.

Does the studio have electricity & music equipment?

Yes, the studio has lighting, 2 electric points and speakers – all you need to do is plug your music device/computer.

How many guest can Felinganol accommodate?

Around 10-12 in shared room & cabins.

Do you allow camping?

Occasionally. We ask for all available accommodation to be booked in first.

How close are the cabins from the toilets?

All cabins/rooms are within a few yards from a toilet.

What’s a compost toilet?

Compost toilets save water! We have 1 compost toilet and 2 flush toilets. Compost toilet use sawdust instead of water which helps the content to biodegrade into nutritious compost used for fruit trees *(but not out veg. patch!) A urine separator keeps our compost toilet smelling sweet. This means all use it sitting down.

How far is Felinganol from the beach?

Mwnt is 5-10minutes drive, 40 minutes by foot.

From the town?

5mins drive, 40mins by foot.

Is the catering vegetarian?

All meals are plant-based from our own organic gardens when possible. We are moving towards zero-waste catering which may bring some changes to our menus. Meanwhile we are zero plastics and ask guest to hep us acheive this.

Do you cater for allergies?

If we are notified in advance we can cater for most diets but we cannot confirm our premises is gluten-free and we cannot cater for extreme diets within our preset budget.

Are dogs allowed?

We have 1 cabin in which we sometime allow well-behaved and responsible owners to bring their dogs. In this case there needs to be a non-participating accompanying guest also staying to look after the dog.

Are non-participating partners allowed?

Yes, we welcome non-participating guests to share their partner’s accommodation.

Parking?

Around 10-12

What to bring?

Torch, wheelies, flip flops (for studio, beach & hot tub), close-able water bottle (for studio) swimming costume (for hot tub and beach), towels.
