Caroline Sabin

Performance making workshop

7th August 2022

Caroline Sabin would like to invite every type of interested person, from the mildly curious to the avid professional, to come to Felinganol for a creative, practical day of making small performance or installation interventions amongst the woods, stones and water of this beautiful place.

Caroline is a Wales based maker of dance theatre, with credits including A Curious Zoo, Blood on the Snow and Mysterious Maud's Chambers of Fantastical Truth. She will be coming fresh from a week of intensive, outdoor study with Sue Hill of Wildworks and is keen to share both her three decades of established practice and the new skills discovered.

The day will involve practical exercises in singles, pairs and small groups that will build to tiny scratch performances we can share with each other. We could also accommodate anyone wishing to simply lend themselves as a performer for other people's ideas. Musical instruments are more than welcome.

The next week I'll be working intensively alongside Sue Hill and can't wait to share that experience with you interwoven with my own decades of creative practice. Felinganol is magical at this time of year and rest assured the day will be arranged to be fun, involved, creative and supportive. There are still cabins available for those from further afield.

Accessibility is important and there are funds available to support any needs that may block you from attending. Please feel free to get in touch with your requirements.
