Creative writing & Yoga retreat

CREATIVE WRITING AND YOGA
with Siân Melangell Dafydd
19th – 21stMay 2017
unite the yogi and the writer in you
This is a weekend for people fascinated by yoga and/or writing – you don’t need expertise in either, just curiosity about how they work together. This is for dabblers or devotees. You will learn more about yoga, more about writing, and where the two meet, whatever your experience.

There will be daily, guided practice (yoga and writing) to awaken your intimacy with language, myth and story, with time each day to develop your own creative voice in the peaceful environment of Felinganol Woodland Retreat.

You will expand your understanding of yoga and the craft of writing. You will learn how to use all aspects of yoga as a writing tool, and which writers and creative minds have done this in the past. You will learn about some Hindi mythologies and how they re-shape your asana, stories or poems. You will learn to use writing to liberate your yoga practices.

Bring your yoga mat, a notebook, your commitment to experiment and if you want to use the garden hot tub or dip into the sea, bring a swimsuit.

Siân’s approach highlights the interconnected nature of the sensory body and energy body, spontaneity, breath and creative voice so that we find our full expression in all aspects of life, especially when it comes to facing the blank page. More info on Sian https://sianmelangell.wordpress.com/
